extraversion
Thriving among people
Extraversion is the personality trait of directing energy outward—toward people, activities, and external stimulation rather than inward reflection.
Extraverts typically feel energized by social interaction and may find solitude draining.
The term comes from psychology, particularly the work of Carl Jung, and remains central to personality models.
Also spelled extroversion, which is now more common in American English.
