eucalypts

Australian aromatic trees

Eucalypts are trees and shrubs of the genus *Eucalyptus*, native to Australia and dominant in its landscapes.

They have aromatic leaves rich in oil, and their bark often peels in distinctive strips or patches.

Eucalypts include some of the tallest trees on earth and provide the sole food source for koalas.

The spelling eucalyptuses also appears, though eucalypts is more common.
