email overload
Too many messages
Email overload is the state of having more email than one can reasonably manage—an inbox so full that messages go unanswered, important items get buried, and the prospect of catching up feels overwhelming.
The term captures a widespread modern affliction: I'm suffering from email overload and haven't responded to anything in a week.
Sometimes shortened to inbox overload.
