Notification fatigue is the mental exhaustion that comes from receiving too many alerts, pings, and updates across devices and apps.
The constant stream of notifications—emails, texts, social media, news alerts—overwhelms attention and leads people to ignore or disable them entirely: I turned off all my notifications because of notification fatigue.
The term reflects how digital connectivity can become a burden rather than a convenience.
