dump bins
Store merchandise holders
Dump bins are large open containers in retail stores, typically waist-high boxes or baskets where merchandise is piled loosely for customers to rummage through.
They're used for sale items, seasonal goods, or impulse purchases: The DVDs in the dump bin were all five dollars.
The informal presentation signals low prices and encourages browsing.
