dukkah
Nutty spice mixture
Dukkah is a Middle Eastern spice blend of crushed nuts, seeds, and aromatics—typically hazelnuts or almonds with coriander, cumin, and sesame seeds.
The mixture is coarse rather than powdered.
Bread is dipped in olive oil, then in dukkah: We started with warm pita and dukkah.
Also spelled duqqa or dukka.
