dog leg
Sharp course angle
A dog leg is a sharp bend or angle, especially in a road, hallway, or golf hole—named for the crooked shape of a dog's hind leg.
A dogleg left on the seventh hole requires strategic positioning.
The term also describes anything that bends abruptly rather than continuing straight: The corridor doglegs around the elevator shaft.
