do not track
Browser privacy signal
Do not track is a web browser setting that signals to websites a user's preference not to be monitored across the internet.
When enabled, it sends a request with each page visit asking sites not to collect browsing data for advertising or analytics.
The setting is largely symbolic—websites aren't required to honor it, and most don't.
I turned on do not track, but targeted ads still follow me everywhere.
