disaster planning

Emergency readiness strategy

Disaster planning is the process of preparing for emergencies before they occur—developing procedures, stockpiling supplies, establishing communication systems, and training personnel to respond effectively when catastrophe strikes.

Organizations create disaster plans for fires, floods, cyberattacks, pandemics, and other crises: The hospital's disaster planning included backup generators and evacuation routes.
