disappearers

People who vanish

Disappearers are people or things that vanish or cause others to vanish.

The word most often appears in dark political contexts—agents of authoritarian regimes who make dissidents disappear: The disappearers came at night and took him from his home.

It can also describe anyone prone to vanishing: He was one of those disappearers who'd ghost after a few dates.
