directional signs
Arrows showing routes
Directional signs are markers that indicate which way to go—arrows pointing toward exits, placards showing distances to destinations, or symbols guiding traffic flow.
They appear on highways, in airports, on hiking trails, and throughout buildings: Follow the directional signs to baggage claim.
The term covers any signage whose primary purpose is spatial orientation rather than information or warning.
