deliriousness
Fevered mental state
Deliriousness is the state of being delirious—mentally confused, disoriented, or wildly excited.
The word typically describes either a medical condition marked by incoherent speech and hallucinations, or an extreme emotional state: the deliriousness of new love, fever-induced deliriousness.
Delirium is more common for the same meaning.
