delay timer
Countdown before action
A delay timer is a device or setting that postpones the start of an operation by a specified interval.
Common on appliances like dishwashers, ovens, and coffee makers: I set the delay timer so the coffee would be ready when I woke up.
In photography, the equivalent function is usually called a self-timer.
