death jokes
Grim comedic material
Death jokes are humor that treats mortality, dying, or the dead as subject matter.
The category ranges from dark comedy that processes grief or fear to tasteless jokes about specific deaths.
Someone who makes death jokes about their own situation may be coping; someone who makes them about others' losses risks offending: Too soon for death jokes?
