de-authorize
Cancel granted access
De-authorize means to revoke or withdraw authorization that was previously granted.
In digital contexts, this typically involves removing a device's or application's permission to access an account, service, or content: I had to de-authorize my old computer before I could use iTunes on my new one.
The term appears frequently in software licensing, where users must de-authorize devices to free up activation slots.
Outside technology, it can refer to any formal withdrawal of delegated authority or approved status.
