curacoa
Caribbean citrus spirit
Curaçao is a liqueur flavored with the dried peel of bitter oranges, originally from the Caribbean island of the same name.
It comes in several colors—orange, blue, and clear being most common.
Blue curaçao gives tropical cocktails their vivid hue: The recipe calls for an ounce of blue curaçao.
The spelling "curacoa" is a variant.
