crystallinity

Molecular arrangement orderliness

Crystallinity is the degree to which a material has an ordered, repeating molecular structure.

In chemistry and materials science, substances range from fully crystalline (atoms arranged in regular lattices) to amorphous (disordered).

Polymers and ceramics are often described by their crystallinity: Higher crystallinity increases the plastic's strength but reduces flexibility.
