creator god
Universe's first maker
A creator god is a deity believed to have brought the universe, world, or humanity into existence.
Most religions feature one: the Judeo-Christian God, Brahma in Hinduism, or figures like the Norse Odin.
Creation myths vary—some gods shape existing matter, others speak reality into being, still others emerge from chaos to impose order.
