contact sheet
Negatives printed together
A contact sheet is a photographic print showing all frames from a roll of film at actual size, made by placing negatives directly against photo paper and exposing them.
Photographers use contact sheets to review shots before selecting which to enlarge: She marked her favorites on the contact sheet with a grease pencil.
The term persists in digital photography for similar preview layouts.
