consonances
Tones in accord
Consonances are instances of harmony or agreement.
In music, consonances are combinations of notes that sound stable and pleasing together, as opposed to dissonances.
The term extends to any agreeable combination of elements: the consonances between their political views, a consonance of colors in the painting.
In poetry, consonance refers to the repetition of consonant sounds.
