concussion grenades
Non-lethal explosive devices
Concussion grenades are explosive devices designed to incapacitate through shockwave force rather than fragmentation.
Unlike fragmentation grenades that spray shrapnel, concussion grenades rely on the blast's pressure wave to stun, disorient, or injure targets in enclosed spaces.
Military and law enforcement use them for room clearing where shrapnel would endanger hostages or cause unwanted structural damage.
Also called blast grenades.
