commodes

Porcelain throne alternatives

Commodes is the plural of commode, a piece of furniture with drawers—essentially a chest of drawers or a low cabinet.

In older usage, a commode was a chair or cabinet concealing a chamber pot.

This euphemistic sense persists: commode now commonly means toilet, especially in American English: The plumber fixed the commode.
