low-flow toilets
Efficient bathroom fixtures
Low-flow toilets are toilets designed to use significantly less water per flush than conventional models.
They became standard in the U.S. after federal regulations in the 1990s mandated reduced water consumption.
Early versions drew complaints about inadequate flushing power, but modern designs perform comparably to older high-volume toilets: We installed low-flow toilets throughout the house to cut our water bill.
