color run
Dyed powder marathon
A color run is a fun run where participants are doused with colored powder at stations along the course, finishing covered in vibrant hues.
The events are typically untimed and emphasize celebration over competition: We signed up for the color run as a team-building activity.
The format became popular in the 2010s as a way to make running feel more like a festival than a race.
