collision risk
Chance of impact
Collision risk is the probability or potential for two or more objects to collide.
The term appears most often in aviation and maritime contexts, where traffic controllers assess collision risk between aircraft or vessels, and in aerospace, where tracking systems monitor collision risk between satellites and space debris.
Insurance and transportation industries also use the term when evaluating hazards: The collision risk increases significantly in fog.
