collagist
Pastes disparate pieces
A collagist is an artist who makes collages—works composed of various materials (paper, photographs, fabric, found objects) assembled and glued to a surface.
The term applies to visual artists like Hannah Höch or Romare Bearden, but extends to anyone who works by combining disparate elements: a collagist of sound samples, a literary collagist.
