cold boot
Power-cycle from off
A cold boot is starting a computer from a completely powered-off state, as opposed to a warm boot or restart where the system resets without fully powering down.
Cold booting clears all memory and reinitializes hardware from scratch: Have you tried a cold boot? Sometimes a full restart fixes things a reboot won't.
