codefest
Collaborative coding event
A codefest is an event where programmers gather to write code intensively, often over a day or weekend.
The format typically involves collaboration on projects, friendly competition, or focused work toward a shared goal.
Also called a hackathon, though codefest emphasizes the coding itself rather than the rapid-prototype ethos of hacking: The open-source community organized a codefest to fix outstanding bugs.
