coconut crabs
Palm-climbing arthropods
Coconut crabs are the largest land-dwelling arthropods, found on islands across the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
They can grow to over three feet across and are strong enough to crack coconuts with their claws—hence the name.
They're also called robber crabs for their habit of carrying off shiny objects and food scraps.
