coconspirators

Partners in crime

Coconspirators are people who conspire together—partners in a plot or scheme.

The term appears most often in legal contexts, where a coconspirator is someone charged alongside others in a criminal conspiracy: The defendant's coconspirators testified against him.

Outside legal settings, it can describe anyone sharing in a secret plan, mischievous or otherwise.
