chunker
Breaks into pieces
A chunker is something or someone that chunks—divides material into discrete pieces.
In computing and linguistics, a chunker is software that breaks text into meaningful segments: phrases, clauses, or semantic units.
More casually, a chunker is anything that produces chunks: The ice chunker broke off pieces for the cooler.
A person who chunks information for easier processing might informally be called a chunker.
