chimneysweepers

Victorian rooftop workers

Chimneysweepers are people who clean soot and debris from chimneys—a trade historically associated with young boys small enough to climb inside flues.

The plural appears in the title of William Blake's poems "The Chimney Sweeper," which depicted the brutal conditions of child laborers.

Now usually two words: chimney sweepers.
