cheesecloths
Curd-straining mesh sheets
Cheesecloths are loosely woven cotton fabrics used for straining liquids and wrapping foods.
The weave is open enough to let liquid pass while catching solids—originally for draining curds in cheesemaking, now common for straining stocks, bundling herbs, or basting poultry: She wrapped the turkey in cheesecloth soaked in butter.
