check writing
Filling out drafts
Check writing is the practice of filling out paper checks to make payments from a bank account.
Once the dominant method of non-cash transactions, it has largely given way to electronic payments and debit cards.
The skill involves writing the date, payee, amount in both numbers and words, and signing: They still teach check writing in some personal finance classes.
