Silicone barrier method
A cervical cap is a small, thimble-shaped contraceptive device made of silicone or latex that fits snugly over the cervix to block sperm from entering the uterus.
It's used with spermicide and inserted before intercourse: She preferred the cervical cap to hormonal birth control.
Unlike a diaphragm, which covers the cervix and vaginal walls, the cap adheres directly to the cervix by suction.
