cat fanciers
Devoted feline admirers
Cat fanciers are people who breed, show, or have a serious interest in cats—particularly purebred cats.
The term suggests enthusiasm beyond casual pet ownership: The cat fanciers gathered at the annual show to judge Persians and Siamese.
Fancier organizations establish breed standards and host competitions.
