carriage houses
Vehicle storage structures
A carriage house is a building originally designed to store horse-drawn carriages, typically found on estates or behind main residences.
Many have been converted to garages, guest houses, or independent dwellings: They renovated the old carriage house into a rental unit.
In real estate, the term now often describes any small secondary residence on a property.
