capitalisation
Making letters big
Capitalisation is the British spelling of capitalization.
It refers to the use of uppercase letters, especially initial capitals for proper nouns and sentence beginnings: British capitalisation rules are the same as American.
In finance, capitalisation means the total market value of a company's shares or the process of converting assets into capital: The firm's market capitalisation exceeded ten billion pounds.
