butter mold
Butter block former
A butter mold is a wooden or ceramic form used to shape and decorate butter.
The mold typically has a carved design—wheat sheaves, flowers, animals—that imprints onto the butter's surface.
Once common in home dairies and farmhouse kitchens, butter molds are now mostly decorative antiques: She found a beautiful old butter mold at the estate sale.
