bullet catch
Deadly stage illusion
The bullet catch is a magic trick in which a performer appears to catch a fired bullet in their teeth or hand.
It's among the most dangerous illusions ever staged—several magicians have died performing it.
The trick relies on misdirection and substitution; no actual catching occurs.
Houdini famously refused to perform the bullet catch.
