brush guards
Front-end crash bars
Brush guards are metal or plastic frameworks mounted to the front of vehicles—typically trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles—to protect the grille, headlights, and front end from damage by brush, branches, and debris.
Also called grille guards or bull bars.
They range from light tubular designs to heavy-duty bumper replacements: The brush guard saved his headlights when he clipped that deer.
