breast MRI
Mammary tissue scan
Breast MRI is magnetic resonance imaging of the breast, used to screen for cancer, evaluate abnormalities found on mammograms, or assess treatment progress.
It provides detailed images of breast tissue and is particularly useful for women at high risk or those with dense breast tissue that mammograms may not capture clearly: Her doctor recommended a breast MRI after the inconclusive mammogram.
