bowed legs
Outward-curving lower extremities
Bowed legs curve outward at the knees, creating a gap when the feet are together—the opposite of knock-kneed.
The condition is normal in toddlers and usually corrects itself.
In adults, it may result from rickets, injury, or arthritis.
Also called bowlegs: He walked with a distinctive bowlegged gait.
