book catalog
Collection listing system
A book catalog is a systematic listing of books in a collection, typically organized by author, title, subject, or call number.
Libraries maintain catalogs to help patrons locate materials: I searched the book catalog for works on medieval history.
The term also applies to publishers' or booksellers' lists of available titles.
