boatneck
Shoulder-to-shoulder opening
A boatneck is a wide neckline on a garment that runs horizontally from shoulder to shoulder, roughly following the line of the collarbone.
The name comes from the similarity to the curved edge of a boat's hull.
Also called a bateau neck: She wore a classic boatneck sweater.
