blind carbon copies
Secret email additions
Blind carbon copies are copies of an email sent to recipients whose addresses are hidden from other recipients.
The term comes from office carbon paper—making a copy while keeping the recipient invisible.
Unlike regular CC recipients, those who receive a BCC don't appear in the message headers others see: I blind carbon copied HR on the complaint.
Usually shortened to BCC.
