blended oil
Combined cooking oils
Blended oil is a cooking oil made by combining two or more different oils, typically to achieve a balance of flavor, smoke point, and cost.
Manufacturers often blend neutral oils like canola with more expensive ones like olive oil: The blended oil gave a hint of olive flavor at half the price.
The term also applies to essential oil mixtures in aromatherapy.
