blasting caps
Explosive initiation devices
Blasting caps are small detonators used to trigger larger explosive charges.
They contain a primary explosive sensitive enough to ignite from an electrical current, flame, or impact, which then sets off the main charge.
Essential in mining, demolition, and construction, they're handled with extreme care: The blasting caps are stored separately from the dynamite.
