billiard hall
Table game venue
A billiard hall is an establishment where people play billiards, pool, or snooker on coin-operated or rented tables.
Traditionally associated with smoky, male-dominated leisure culture, the term carries slight connotations of seediness or idleness: He spent his afternoons in the billiard hall instead of looking for work.
Also called a pool hall.
