gaming floor
Where slots live
The gaming floor is the main area of a casino where gambling takes place—the space filled with slot machines, card tables, roulette wheels, and other games of chance.
Casino staff distinguish it from restaurants, hotels, and back offices: Security monitors the gaming floor around the clock.
The term appears in regulations governing where gambling is permitted.
